Slavko Pušavec began their work experience in marketing at Iskra ERO in 1987, where they served as a Marketing Associate until 1990 and then became the Head of Marketing Communication until 1992. Slavko then moved on to a role as Marketing Manager at Dnevnik from 1992 to 1993. Pušavec next worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Interakcija d.o.o. & Finmedia d.d from 1993 to 1994. In 1994, they joined Medis (Medical Marketing Company) and served as a Marketing Assistant until 1997, followed by a position as Marketing Manager from 1998 to 2002. From 2003 until 2018, Pušavec took on the role of Assistant to the General Manager at Medis. Most recently, they have been serving as Chief Compliance Officer since April 2018.

Slavko Pušavec completed their high school education at Gimnazija Kranj from 1977 to 1981, obtaining a High School Diploma. Slavko then enrolled at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree. In 1988, they obtained an IAA Certificate in Marketing Communications from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana and the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana. Later, in 2005, Slavko Pušavec received a Certificate in Advanced English (Council of Europe Level C1) from the University of Cambridge. Slavko also attended INSEAD in 2018, where they completed INSEAD Compliance Implementation Leadership I and II programs.
