Jim Campbell has a strong background in government relations and public policy. Jim currently holds the position of Vice President, Public Policy and Government Relations at MEG Energy Corp. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Advisor at Osborne Interim Management. From 2018 to 2021, Jim served as the Vice President, Business Environment at the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association, where they led a team responsible for government relations, policy, regulatory, Indigenous Affairs, and communications. During their time at Cenovus Energy, Jim held various roles, including Vice-President, Government & Community Affairs and Vice President, Government Affairs and Corporate Responsibility. Jim was also the Executive Director of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta, where they managed communications and relationships with stakeholders.

Jim Campbell completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing at the University of Alberta from 1980 to 1986. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance at the University of Calgary from 1990 to 1992.
