Rémi Pierre is a specialized all-round digital artist with extensive experience in visual effects and a strong focus on FX development. Currently serving as Lead Pipeline Developer at Megalis VFX since September 2022, Rémi's career includes notable roles such as Senior Houdini Developer at Method Studios and Houdini Pipeline TD at Digital Domain. Throughout their journey, Rémi has contributed to major films like "Thor: Ragnarok," "Avengers: Infinity War," and "Deadpool," developing a range of Houdini tools and supporting both CFX and FX teams. With a solid foundation in visual effects from PoleIIID and experience in various technical roles since 2008, Rémi has honed skills in pipeline development, tool creation, and team collaboration in high-pressure environments.

Megalis VFX
Megalis is a global VFX studio founded in 2017 in Japan with the ambition to become the reference for visual effects in Asia. Over the years, we have grown from a Houdini effects-centric company to a full production studio. The team has worked on both episodic and film work. We’ve most recently completed work on our first full CG animation project for Netflix Japan - ONI: Thunder God’s Tale. Based in the heart of Tokyo and in two offices, we are now a little over eighty people. About half of our current staff is Japanese and the other half of the team are people from all over the world. We are looking forward to bringing talented artists and engineers from abroad into Japan. We also offer remote work opportunities.
