Laura Silva

Laura Silva is a seasoned professional in the field of food science and technology, currently serving as the Research and Development Group Manager at MegaMex Foods since May 2021, where Laura also held interim responsibilities as Plant Manager. Prior to this role, Laura was the Research and Development Manager at Pilgrim's from November 2018 to May 2021, focusing on technical services and prepared foods. Laura's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at The Kraft Heinz Company, where positions ranged from Research and Development Manager to Research and Development Engineer, as well as Quality & Manufacturing Supervisor. Laura began the career as a Manufacturing Intern and worked as a Product Supply Chain Quality Supervisor at Sigma Alimentos. A Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology was obtained from Texas A&M University, following a Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
