Melissa Webster has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership roles in the disability and healthcare sectors. Melissa most recently served as the Acting Chief Operating Officer at Melba Support Services, where they managed operational services and oversaw a major transformational change program. Prior to that, they were the Voluntary Chief Executive Officer at ADHD Australia, where they developed and executed strategies to grow the organization and strengthen relationships with stakeholders. Melissa has also served as the Director at Brainwave Australia, Board Chair at The Lab Network, and Chief Operating Officer at Irabina Autism Services. Melissa has expertise in spearheading organizational change, leading diverse teams, and managing budgets. Additionally, Melissa has held key positions at Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect), Amaze, The Tipping Foundation, and Rehability UK, where they directed strategic operations, promoted best practices, and managed teams.

Melissa Webster has pursued a diverse range of education and certifications. Melissa holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (Quality) degree from the University of Leicester, with a focus on Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Melissa also obtained a Health Studies (Honours) Degree from Birmingham City University, specializing in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences. Additionally, they completed a Registered Managers Award in Health/Health Care Management at De Montfort University.

Furthering their academic qualifications, Melissa obtained a Masters degree from the University of Wollongong, specializing in Autism. Furthermore, they hold various certifications, including accreditation from the Accreditation Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), both obtained from the University of Leicester. Melissa is also a certified Lead Auditor in Quality Management Systems, certified as a Registered Manager in Health & Social Care by the Care Quality Commission, and a Registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, certified by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Lastly, they have completed Training and Assessment at De Montfort University.

Melba has a proud history of providing individualised support to people living with complex disabilities, their carers and families for over 45 years. Melba was established in the early 1970's to meet the needs of children with disabilities. It also provided a support network for parents, who had nowhere to go for advice and help. Today, services include housing and accommodation, community participation, individual support, facilitating social, education and work capacity building, respite care and a range of other inclusive education and support initiatives. The individuals who use our services are located throughout Eastern and South-Eastern Melbourne. Melba is the FIRST ORGANISATION IN AUSTRALIA recognised by US Based Council on Quality and Leadership, for person-centred excellence "with distinction"​.
