Chris Weaver

Chris Weaver is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in philanthropy and project management. Currently serving as the Senior Philanthropy Manager at Melbourne Grammar School since September 2022, Chris leads major giving campaigns and aligns community relations with the school's strategic objectives. Previously, at the University of Melbourne from September 2011 to September 2022, Chris held roles including Senior Project Officer for Innovation Initiatives, Development Communications Officer, and Advancement Communications Officer, facilitating the translation of research into impactful projects and managing major philanthropic campaigns. Early career roles included writing for Inside Football and consultancy with dandolopartners, along with a background in law and communication as a copywriter at Minter Ellison and a sport commentator at 3SER - Casey Radio. Chris holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Melbourne and is currently pursuing further education at The College of Law.
