Ashley Garner is a Senior Program Associate at the Mellon Foundation since March 2021. Previously, Ashley served as a Program Associate and worked extensively in higher education as a Sociology PhD student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst since August 2015. Experience includes a role as Policy Associate at FPWA, where lobbying and collaborative research were key responsibilities, and as a Project Manager at the University of Massachusetts. Research experience includes positions as a Contract Researcher at Rutgers University and a Research Scholar in the McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program. Additional roles include Student Experience Researcher and Hall Director at Rutgers, overseeing academic environments for undergraduates. Ashley holds a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Rutgers University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, respectively.
