Ciara Murphy currently serves as the Manager of Strategic Initiatives & Planning at the Mellon Foundation, a position held since September 2023. In parallel, Ciara has been a Lecturer at Stanford in New York since September 2019, teaching a course on the historical and cultural significance of New York City in American theater and performance. Prior experience includes a nearly nine-year tenure at The Public Theater, where Ciara held the position of Director of Strategic Research and Planning, leading a significant strategic plan and COVID-19 response, and establishing community and academic partnerships.
