Michael Shattner is honored to serve as senior executive assistant to Elizabeth Alexander, working closely with colleagues to support, organize, and facilitate all aspects of President Alexander's work at the Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2018, Mr. Shattner served in a number of roles as executive assistant to chief executives, including most recently the president and COO of Ziff Brothers Investments. A self-described "artist-warrior," he is an actor and a musician. He holds a bachelor of science degree in speech–theatre from Northwestern University and is currently pursuing a certificate in core musical skills at Juilliard. As an actor, his favorite roles have been Malvolio in the Twelfth Night and Queen Margaret in the Henry VI plays. His instrument is the cello and he can be heard frequently around the city playing with various ensembles.
