🚀 Our Vision We’re building your Interface to the World. Today, you have many representations of yourself online with each of those identities tied to specific apps. This limits how you can express yourself and the actions you can take. We’re building tools so you can represent yourself however you want, wherever you go. Let’s break down how our vision manifests: 💡 Tools for decentralized identity management and an interoperable social graph to allow for more expressive representations and more efficient coordination. We’re creating a universal framework for users and apps to exchange data. ⚡️ Culture How we work is just as important to us as what we do. We select members who can contribute more than just work. We seek to understand the world around us. We’re not afraid to ask questions when we don’t understand something; questions lead to new perspectives which inform better solutions. Constructive disagreements are encouraged, because that’s how we challenge our thinking. Although we move quickly, we consider the second and third-order consequences of our decisions. We think deeply about the problems we’re solving now and how those solutions affect what we’re able to do in the future and the broader ecosystem in general. We read papers, primary source material, and talk to the people who came before us to better understand who and what the status quo serves instead of accepting it mindlessly. When it comes to work, we don’t just do what’s ‘in the spec’ - we improve the process of how things are done. The Big Problems motivate us. Curiosity drives us. The systems we design and build may have far reaching consequences for millions of people, so our eagerness to learn extends beyond work; it’s a core part of who we are as people. We recognize the world is a complex place, and that people are profoundly multifaceted. When we ask questions, rather than simplified answers we look for comprehensive understanding. Feedback is important to us; it’s how we improve as individuals and as a team. We’re respectful when we deliver it to one another and don’t ever take it personally. Our team is highly talented, but we all have quiet egos and are happy to update our priors as we learn and grow. 📍 Location Our goal is to make places people want to spend their time, whether that’s with the products we build or at the office where we work. We’re currently located in San Francisco but plan on having spaces around the country as we grow.
