Adeze Wilford

Blackmon Perry Curator Of African American Art And Art Of The African Diaspora at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art

Adeze Wilford serves as the Blackmon Perry Curator of African American Art and Art of the African Diaspora at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art since January 2025. Previously, Wilford held the position of Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami from February 2022 to January 2025 and worked as an Assistant Curator at The Shed in New York from May 2018 to February 2022. Earlier experience includes roles such as Curatorial Fellow at The Museum of Modern Art in 2017, Curatorial Fellow and Public Programs Assistant at The Studio Museum in Harlem, and Director at Dittmar Memorial Gallery. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and African American Studies from Northwestern University, completed in 2013.
