Eelco van der Wel

Eelco van der Wel is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at OpenMined since January 2024. Previously, Eelco held the position of data scientist at BlueGen.ai from April 2023 to January 2024 and worked as a machine learning engineer at Memri from May 2021 to April 2023. Eelco's early career includes a role as a research assistant at Universiteit van Amsterdam from September 2020 to February 2021. Educationally, Eelco van der Wel holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence obtained from the University of Amsterdam between 2017 and 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the same institution from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, Eelco earned a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Saxophone from the Amsterdam School of the Arts between 2009 and 2013.
