Brittney Otero

Head Librarian at Menlo School

Brittney Otero is an experienced librarian with a strong background in library management and instructional services. Currently serving as the Head Librarian at Menlo School since June 2022, Brittney oversees library operations and collaborates with educators to enhance research instruction for grades 6-12. Prior to this role, Brittney was a Reference and Instruction Librarian II at Palo Alto University, where responsibilities included program development and grant implementation. Previous experience also encompasses positions as Library Media Technician at San Mateo Union High School District and Library Assistant for the City of Redwood City, as well as a brief tenure as a Content Marketing Manager/Digital Librarian. Brittney holds a Master of Library & Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from San Francisco State University.
