Awais Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Awais started their career in 1998 as an Accounts Officer at Bayindir Cons, where they were responsible for recording payments and generating reports. Awais then moved on to Makkays in 2002, where they worked as an Assistant Manager Accounts, assisting with budget preparation, bank dealings, and tax matters. In 2005, Awais joined Apollo Telecom as a Manager Finance, overseeing financial planning, cash flow management, and financial statement preparation. Awais then worked at Borini Prono & Company Nigeria Ltd as a Chief Accountant from 2008 to 2010, managing the books of accounts, inventory system, and debtors. From 2011 to 2016, they served as a Senior Manager Finance at Royal Airport Services, contributing to strategic decisions, financial reporting, and internal control restructuring. From 2016 to 2018, Awais held the position of Financial Controller - Travel Division at Royal Airport Services, where they provided financial management support and implemented restructuring initiatives. Lastly, they joined Menzies-RAS in 2018 as the Head of Administration & Procurement, overseeing day-to-day operations and handling financial and legal matters.
Awais Ahmed started their education in 1992 at the University of the Punjab, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree. Awais studied at the university until 1994. Following that, from 1994 to 1998, Awais attended the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Pakistan to complete their CA (Articles) degree.
