Claudio Balmaceda is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in machine learning and data analytics across various industries. Currently serving as a Data Science Technical Lead and Senior Data Scientist at Mercado Libre since August 2022, Claudio is focused on developing machine learning models to solve challenges in credit card adoption, risk assessment, and fraud detection in major Latin American markets. Before Mercado Libre, Claudio held roles at RocBird, where a churn prediction model was developed for NGOs, and at Naranja X, specializing in customer churn prediction and time series forecasting using advanced technologies like H20 Driverless AI and AWS. Additional experience includes positions at Darwoft, Overactive, and MovingBI, where Claudio contributed to customer segmentation, research in natural language processing, and business intelligence solutions.
