In September 2017, Mercedes-Benz Cars announced plans to expand its production footprint in Alabama and the United States with a $1 billion investment for our second campus. The expansion includes construction of a new battery plant to prepare the plant to build electric vehicles at the beginning of the next decade. MBUSI currently employs more than 3,700 Team Members.
