Joel Laborce

Joel Laborce, CPA, currently serves as Corporate Controller at Mercer Advisors, a position held since May 2019, where prior roles included Director of Accounting and Senior Accounting Manager. Before joining Mercer Advisors, Joel worked at Ibotta, Inc. as Revenue and Accounting Manager from July 2017 to May 2019, leading financial close procedures and implementing NetSuite. Earlier experience includes being a Staff Accountant, where improvements to month-end close processes and early adoption of ASC 842 were notable achievements. Joel began his career as a Senior Auditor at Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co., from September 2014 to July 2017, providing guidance on operational and compliance risks. Prior to that, Joel managed staff at Pinnacle Golf Club from April 2008 to September 2014 while overseeing member events. Education includes a Master's degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Otterbein University.
