Anita Garem Charlin

Anita Garem Charlin currently serves as SVP Head of Engineering and Technology at Merck Group since April 2024, also holding the title of SVP Head of Engineering and Technology Life Sciences. Prior to this role, Anita was the Director of Engineering at Mondelēz International from December 2020 to April 2024, where responsibilities included driving the engineering agenda for Europe and Eastern Europe and overseeing technical development and Capex project execution. Anita's previous experience includes serving as the Director of Engineering at Danone Early Life Nutrition from January 2014 to December 2020, a Senior Project Manager within Danone Engineering Worldwide, and roles in technology management at Danone Nutricia Research, APV, SPX Corporation, and Pall Corporation. Anita's educational background includes an ingénieur degree in Process Engineering and a doctorate in Physico-chemistry of Bioproducts from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires and Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Agronomie de Rennes, respectively.
