Michael Dzieia

Michael Dzieia has extensive experience in engineering and safety management, currently serving as the Head of Engineering Central Europe and Head of Global Engineering - Chemicals at Merck Gruppe since October 2001. Dzieia oversees mechanical safety, explosion protection, and pressure hazard assessments, and manages the accredited monitoring and expert inspection bodies as per relevant regulations. Prior to this role, Dzieia held various engineering and managerial positions, including roles focused on electrical safety and compliance. Dzieia’s career began with positions at Daimler and continued with significant contributions in academia as a scientific researcher at TU Darmstadt. Dzieia earned a doctorate in General Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt. Additionally, Dzieia is a published author in specialized engineering literature.
