Nina Berges

Nina Berges serves as the Head of Laboratory and Project Lead for Drug Discovery at Merck Group since May 2017, leading drug discovery projects in a matrix environment while overseeing a team of technicians and scientists with a focus on oncology, immuno-oncology, and immunology. Nina is an expert in cellular pharmacology and conducts high throughput and drug combination screening campaigns, contributing to peer-reviewed scientific publications. Prior to this, Nina participated in the GoGlobal high potential graduate program as a postdoctoral researcher, supervising technicians and students, and developing complex cellular assays. Nina's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology and completing postgraduate training in Life Science Management. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular Biotechnology and a Master's degree from RWTH Aachen University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the same institution and a study period at Lund University.
