Zhongyuan Kan

Zhongyuan Kan, Ph.D., is currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist in Mass Spectrometry at Merck Research Laboratories since February 2025. Prior to this role, Zhongyuan worked as a Scientific Investigator in Biophysics at GSK from February 2020 to February 2025, focusing on early-stage drug discovery. Zhongyuan's experience also includes a position as a Scientist in Analytical Development & QC at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. from November 2017 to January 2020, and a long tenure at the University of Pennsylvania, where Zhongyuan held various positions including Senior Research Investigator and Research Associate in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. Zhongyuan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biophysics and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Wuhan University, as well as postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania.
