Ojas Joshi

Ojas Joshi is an experienced professional in freight analysis and data science, currently serving as the Head of Freight Analysis at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. since April 2022. Previously, Ojas held positions such as Head of Analytics - Freight at Koch Industries and Lead Data Scientist at Trafigura. With a solid background in data extraction, manipulation, and statistical analysis, Ojas has developed models for price forecasting, vessel routing optimization, and supported trading strategies. Early career experiences include roles at Castleton Commodities International, Ernst & Young, and the European Space Agency, complemented by a strong academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from EPFL and a Master's in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
