Heather Decker

Heather Decker is an experienced communications professional with a focus on social media management and content creation for nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as a Social Media Specialist for Mercy For Animals, Heather is responsible for content creation, community engagement, and metric analysis. Prior roles include Communications Manager and Social Media Specialist at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, where responsibilities ranged from communications strategy development to overseeing digital content and promotional initiatives. Heather also brings experience as a Marketing Manager at One EPIC Place and a Contributing Writer for Raise Vegan Inc., along with teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at Westchester Community College. Heather holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and a BFA from Emerson College.
