Don Stephens

Don Stephens is a social entrepreneur and founder of Mercy Ships, established in 1978, which has provided over $1 billion in medical services to more than 2.35 million people across over 70 countries. As President and Founder, Stephens has led the organization from its inception to a 40-year journey focused on using hospital ships to deliver healthcare and enhance health care delivery systems in developing nations, while also training local health professionals. Prior to this, Stephens served as the Director for Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from September 1972 to June 1984. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree from Bethany University and trustee roles at Colorado Mesa University and LeTourneau University.
