Maniya Smith

Maniya Smith is a Quality Improvement Specialist at MercyFirst since May 2024. Prior to this role, Maniya served as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at AHRC Nassau from November 2023 to April 2024 and spent three years as an Administrative Assistant at Serenity Empowerment, focusing on office tasks and scheduling support. Maniya's experience also includes working as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Half Hollow Hills Central School District and as a Before/After School Teacher at Reach Cya, where skills in developing social lessons and supporting students with learning difficulties were utilized. Additionally, Maniya held a position as a Sales Associate at DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and was a Counselor at Young People's Day Camp, managing daily activities and programming. Maniya holds a Bachelor's degree from St. John's University, completed in May 2022, and graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School East in June 2018.
