James Fettiplace

James Fettiplace currently serves as the Vice President and Lead of Clinical Development at Mereo BioPharma, a position held since September 2023. Previously, James was the Senior Director of Clinical Development at GSK, overseeing clinical development for a Phase 3 asset in hepatology and managing a team of five. James has also held roles as Medical Director at Akari Therapeutics, Clinical Development Lead at Mundipharma Research Limited, and multiple positions at GSK, including Clinical Lead for Phase 3 studies in autoimmune diseases and Senior Medical Advisor in Respiratory Medicine. James holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience and Neuropharmacology from King's College London, as well as obtaining MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
