Craig Brown

Craig Brown possesses extensive experience in electrical engineering, primarily in the renewable energy sector. Since joining Meridian Energy in November 2005, Craig has held various leadership roles, including Electrical Engineering Manager for Renewable Construction, where responsibilities include managing a skilled electrical engineering team and supporting renewable project development. Previous roles at Meridian Energy include Electrical Engineering Team Leader for Wind, focusing on operational wind farms, and Transmission Specialist, involved in the development, construction, and maintenance of wind farms in both New Zealand and Australia. Craig’s background also includes an acting role as Transmission Development Manager, and earlier positions as Project Manager at Transpower and Graduate Electrical Engineer at Contact Energy. Educational qualifications include a BE (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Canterbury and a NZCE in Industrial Instrumentation and Control from Otago Polytechnic.
