Michael Krager

Michael Krager has extensive work experience in the field of IT, spanning over 30 years. Michael has held various roles in different companies, each contributing to their expertise and skills.

Starting in 1988, Michael worked in the U.S. Air Force as a Communications-Computer Systems Control Specialist. Michael was responsible for provisioning, installing, testing, and maintaining over 400 communications circuits.

In 1996, they joined Computer Science Corporation as a Communications Specialist, where they designed and implemented network systems supporting defense programs. Michael also led projects involving the installation and set-up of a Network Operations Center.

In 1998, Michael joined Connect: The Knowledge Network as a Systems Engineer. Michael provided analysis and remediation for hardware and software supporting mission-critical systems for AirTouch Communications.

From 1998 to 2001, they worked at AT&T Broadband in two roles. As a Sr. Systems Engineer, Michael conducted assessments of IT systems inventory and played a key role in various IT initiatives. Later, as a Data Center Supervisor, they implemented enterprise management platforms and supervised a team of system administrators.

In 2002, Michael joined Saje Professional Services as a Systems Engineer, where they installed, configured, and maintained firewalls and Windows servers for small and medium-sized businesses.

From 2003 to 2005, they served as the IT Infrastructure Manager at Employers Unity. Michael planned and deployed network solutions supporting WAN connectivity and remote access.

Michael then worked at All Covered, Inc. from 2005 to 2014 as a Consultant. Michael provided service delivery to multiple clients, oversaw a team of engineers, and participated in pre-sales visits as a technical resource.

From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Systems Engineer at NexusTek. Michael was involved in the deployment of server environments, network configurations, and quality assurance activities.

Starting in 2017, Michael worked at Optimum Networking as the Manager of Field Engineering. Michael led a team of IT System Engineers, implemented internal security awareness training programs, and provided troubleshooting support to clients.

Currently, Michael is employed at Meriplex as a Professional Services Engineer. Michael brings their technical expertise to conduct IT assessments, provide guidance for proposals, and develop client-focused technical architecture solutions.

Throughout their career, Michael has gained experience in various areas of IT, including system engineering, network management, project implementation, and team leadership.

Michael Krager has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity from Liberty University, which they obtained between 2019 and 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their degrees, Michael Krager holds several certifications including Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Engineers from ConnectWise (obtained in March 2021), MCSA: Windows Server 2012 from Microsoft (obtained in May 2015), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA (obtained in October 2012).
