Ian Van Reepinghen serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Merlin Solar Technologies since January 2025, bringing extensive experience in financial leadership across various industries. Previously, Ian held the Director of Finance position at Lundberg Family Farms, overseeing a six-person FP&A team and managing key financial strategies for a $100M+ organic packaged food company. Ian's prior roles include Head of Finance at Thrilling, Senior Manager of FP&A at Rodan + Fields, and various finance and planning positions at prominent companies such as Tory Burch, MasterCard, and Peet's Coffee & Tea. Ian holds an MBA in Finance and a Master's in International/Global Studies from The Wharton School and the Lauder Institute, as well as a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Stanford University.

Merlin Solar Technologies, like many of its Silicon Valley compatriots, was founded in a garage. The founders set out to fundamentally rethink the way solar panels were engineered with the goal of ubiquitous deployment. “To boldly go where no solar panel has gone before” remains the mantra of our company, having successfully deployed solar panels in some of the harshest environments. The founders have a combined expertise of over 200 man-years in semiconductor, solar, photonics, flexible displays, and high throughput automation. This combination of expertise has resulted in a portfolio of 50+ international patents & delivered products that are acknowledged to be the best-in-class.
