Douglas J. Pisano

Douglas J. Pisano, PhD, is a seasoned academic leader currently serving as Professor and Executive Dean at Merrimack College since July 2023. Previously, Douglas held the position of Founding Dean of the School of Health Professions at Saint Bonaventure University from June 2017 to August 2023, where responsibilities included developing a new health professions school and ensuring its successful launch. Douglas also served at MCPHS University from August 2000 to February 2016 in multiple roles, including Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost and Dean of the School of Pharmacy in both Boston and Worcester/Manchester, overseeing extensive academic programs and a large student body. Douglas earned a PhD in Law, Policy, and Society from Northeastern University, a BSPharm from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a MSPA in Public Policy/Public Affairs from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
