Geir Bakken

Geir Bakken is a finance professional with extensive experience in treasury and cash management, currently serving as the Head of Group Treasury at Mestergruppen AS since January 2025. Prior to this, Bakken held the position of Head of Cash Management at Saferoad Group from October 2016 to December 2024 and served as Cash Manager at Boots Norge AS from March 2009 to September 2016. Previous roles include Head of Group Treasury, Group Controller, and Controller at Lindorff AS from April 2001 to March 2009, and Regnskapssjef at Telenor Inkasso AS from January 2000 to April 2001. Bakken's career began at Telenor Consult AS and Telenor Bedrift, Divisjon Storkunder with various accounting roles. Educational qualifications include a credit management degree from BI Norwegian Business School and a Can.Mag degree in economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), among others.
