CQ Tang (Chunqiang Tang) is a Senior Director of Engineering at Meta/Facebook, specializing in AI and Systems Co-design as well as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) within a planetary-scale private cloud environment. CQ Tang has been with Meta/Facebook since July 2013, leading efforts on AI, GPU/accelerator technologies, large language models (LLM), and systems software, along with overseeing the Compute Platform organization. Prior to this, CQ Tang worked as a Manager and Research Staff Member at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center from August 2004 to June 2013, managing the Cloud Automation Department. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Rochester, an MS in Computer Science from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Computing Technology, and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
