Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon from September 2020 to March 2024, leading the ChatGPT-like Large Language Model project and working on conversational modeling and dialogue systems. Di Jin was a Research Assistant at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory from June 2017 to August 2020, utilizing deep learning models for chronic disease risk prediction. Additional roles at Amazon Alexa involved researching multi-choice question answering and developing deep learning models for the Named Entity Recognition problem. Di Jin holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earned in June 2020, and a Bachelor's degree in Precision Instruments from Tsinghua University, completed in June 2015.
