Ella Hilal, PhD, is an accomplished leader in data science and analytics, currently serving as Vice President of Monetization Analytics and Pillar Lead at Meta. Previously, Ella held key roles at Shopify, including Vice President of Data Science & Engineering and Head of Data Science and Engineering for Revenue and Growth. Ella also directed the Innovation and Data Intelligence Group at Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS) and contributed as a Research and Teaching Assistant at both the University of Waterloo and the German University in Cairo. Ella earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MSc in Computer Engineering from the German University in Cairo.
