Director, AI Accelerators at Meta

Harshit Khaitan is an experienced technology professional currently serving as the Director of AI Accelerators at Meta within the Facebook Reality Labs since April 2019. Previously, Harshit held the role of Technical Lead/Manager for machine learning accelerators focused on AR/VR technology. Prior to Meta, Harshit worked at Google from April 2014 to April 2019 as the Tech Lead for the consumer TPU hardware design team. Harshit also contributed to NVIDIA from February 2011 to April 2014 as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer, leading the SoC integration team for the Tegra K1 chip. Earlier experience includes a Hardware Engineer position at NVIDIA and a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at North Carolina State University. Harshit began professional experience as an interim intern engineer at Qualcomm and an intern at Manipal Dot Net Pvt Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, coursework in Computer Science at Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
