Louis Feng is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in machine learning systems and performance optimization. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Meta since September 2019, Louis leads efforts in building and maintaining observability and insights infrastructure. Previously, Louis held multiple roles at Meta, including AI Efficiency Tech Lead and Performance Engineer, focusing on enhancing ML infrastructure and performance. Prior to Meta, Louis worked at Intel Corporation as a Staff Deep Learning Engineer and Staff Software Engineer, contributing significantly to deep learning compiler projects and improving software performance for rendering applications. Louis began a career in research and development at Disney/ImageMovers Digital and held various research-focused positions during graduate studies at the University of California, Davis, where Louis earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science, complemented by master's and bachelor's degrees from Kent State University.
