Nam Nguyen has a diverse work experience, starting in 1987 as an Engineer at ROLM. Nam then worked at TRW as an R&D employee from 1990 to 1992. From 1992 to 1994, Nam worked at Bay Networks as a Networking is Fun! employee. Nam then joined Cisco in 1994 as an NMS employee until 1996 when they moved to Accesslan as a Just Do It! employee until 1998. Nam then worked at Yahoo! Inc. from 1998 to 2011 as a Technical Yahoo!, where they managed a team in Search and was involved in various roles related to software development. From 2011 to 2019, they worked at Facebook as an Infrastructure Software Engineer, where they underwent bootcamp, learned, coded, and socialized, and also had some management responsibilities. Currently, Nam is working at Instagram as the Head Of Engineering, starting from April 2019.
Nam Nguyen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Davis from 1984 to 1986. Following this, Nguyen pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Santa Clara University from 1988 to 1990.
