Sajjad Taheri is a software engineer with extensive experience in cloud-based and embedded robotics, as well as computer vision algorithms. Currently employed at Meta since June 2024, Sajjad previously contributed to Bear Robotics, Inc. from July 2020 to June 2024, focusing on API development. Prior experience includes work at Essential, where a graph-based framework for machine learning and computer vision was developed for power-constrained devices, and at the University of California, where the initial version of OpenCV.js was architected and developed. Sajjad holds a PhD in Computer Science from UC Irvine and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Tehran. Additional experience includes a Javascript Engineering internship at Mozilla, contributing to ECMAScript SIMD technology.
