Sumanth Gargi is a seasoned data science leader with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Meta FinTech since January 2016. In this role, Sumanth leads a team of approximately 40 data scientists, focusing on consumer and business payments across the Meta family of apps. Previous roles at Meta include Data Science Manager for the Commerce Platform and Data Scientist Lead, where Sumanth tackled various large-scale challenges. Prior to Meta, Sumanth worked at Microsoft, leading analytics for Microsoft Office freemium offerings and managing supply chain planning for Microsoft Surface and Xbox. Sumanth co-founded a hyper-local network startup, and began a career at Apple as a Global Commodity Manager. Sumanth holds an MBA and a Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from RV College of Engineering.
