Sunil Khaunte is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and network infrastructure. Currently serving as Software Engineering Director for Network Infrastructure at Meta since April 2019, Sunil oversees engineering leadership for Facebook's data center network infrastructure, focusing on capacity planning, network design, and network operations. Prior to this role, Sunil dedicated over 21 years at Cisco, where responsibilities included heading engineering for the Edge Routing Platforms and Infrastructure, leading the development of innovative routing systems, and managing teams that drove significant advancements in network operating systems. Sunil holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Goa University.
