Sushmitha Ayyanar is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning and performance architecture, currently serving as a Machine Learning Accelerator Architect at Meta since March 2025. Prior to this, Sushmitha worked at NUVIA Inc (acquired by Qualcomm) as a Performance Architect from December 2019 to March 2025, and held the same title at Samsung Austin Research Center from June 2018 to December 2019, focusing on micro-architectural analysis and performance debugging of CPU features. Sushmitha began the career at Intel Corporation as a Performance Architect Intern, analyzing HPC workloads, and gained experience at Honeywell Technology Solutions as an Engineer and Project Trainee, working on software design and processor selection for aviation systems. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Computer Engineering) from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
