Urvi Parekh is a seasoned professional in renewable energy with extensive experience across leading organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Renewable Energy at Meta since September 2016, Urvi Parekh leads a team focused on selecting and managing global renewable energy projects, contributing to Meta's achievement of 100% renewable energy operations, first reached in 2020, and facilitating the signing of over 11,000 MW of solar and wind projects. Prior to this role, Urvi Parekh was the Director of Origination and Business Development for the Western Region at SunPower Corporation, handling business development in California and beyond. Earlier experience includes an MBA summer internship at MMA Renewable Ventures and a role as an Engineer at Sentech, where Urvi Parekh consulted on federal policy issues related to clean energy technologies. Urvi Parekh holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA in Renewable Energy and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
