Vipul Deokar is a highly experienced engineering leader with a strong background in network infrastructure and software development. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Meta since March 2022, Vipul supports the Core Networking organization overseeing the complete lifecycle of Meta's Network Infrastructure. Prior to this role, Vipul was Vice President of Engineering at Cisco from October 2016 to February 2022, where leadership of a large engineering team resulted in significant product revenue growth while managing budget reductions. Earlier experience includes positions at Juniper Networks, Metamachinix Inc., ONI Systems/Ciena Corporation, and Integrated Systems Inc./Wind River Systems, contributing to various software and product innovations. Vipul holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Kansas State University, and a Certificate in Engineering Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley.
