Stephen Benoit is the President and CEO of MDI Therapeutics, Inc., a University of Michigan spinout focused on developing "serpin" inhibitors for treating fibrosis and NET-mediated diseases, a position held since November 2017. Additionally, Benoit serves as a Board Member for Metabolic Solutions Development Company, a clinical-stage developer of small molecule therapeutic agents for metabolic dysfunction, and has been involved since October 2010. Previously, Benoit acted as Founding President and COO of the International Food Protection Training Institute, which created the first competency-based food safety training curriculum, and co-founded NanoMed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where innovative nanoparticle therapies for cancer were developed. Benoit's early career includes serving as VP and General Manager of the Natural & Functional Foods Division at Kellogg Company. Educational background includes an MBA and BBA in Finance from Loyola Marymount University.
