Daniela S. A. Goltsman

Daniela S. A. Goltsman is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in microbial genomics and metagenomics. As the Associate Director and Senior Scientist at Metagenomi since September 2019, Daniela focuses on discovering next-generation gene editing systems through big data analysis. Prior to this, Daniela served as an Instructor and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Stanford University from June 2013 to August 2019, where research centered on the microbial communities' role in human gestational health and diversity during pregnancy. Daniela obtained a PhD in Environmental Microbiology from the University of California, Berkeley, where research involved the microbial diversity of acidic environments. Additionally, early experience includes undergraduate research in bioinformatics at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile and Integrated Genomics Inc.
