Joshua Tan

Joshua Tan is a prominent figure in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital civil society, currently serving at Public AI since June 2023. As the Founder and Standards Lead of DAOstar, established in May 2021, Joshua plays a crucial role in shaping standards within the DAO ecosystem. Additionally, Joshua co-founded Metagov in August 2019, where leadership in research focuses on institutional engineering. Joshua's previous experiences include a Practitioner Fellowship at Stanford University's Digital Civil Society Lab and co-founding the Local Sense Lab, which specializes in urban data research. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science in Mathematics from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethics, Politics, & Economics from Yale University.
