Zak Schwarzman

Zak Schwarzman is a general partner at MetaProp NYC since September 2016, specializing in investments in seed-stage startups within the real estate technology sector. In addition, Zak serves as an adjunct associate professor at Columbia Business School, teaching a graduate seminar on venture capital since January 2023. Zak has been a Kauffman Fellow since June 2018, participating in a prestigious leadership program focused on innovation and capital formation. Current board roles include positions at Pest Share and Mapped, along with observer roles at Advocate Technologies, Join, and Ergeon. Previous experience includes serving as principal at Gotham Ventures and chairman of the board at Manna Project International. Zak holds an MBA in Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship from Columbia Business School and a BA in Political Economy and Business from Tulane University.
