Joal Lee

Joal Lee, SHRM-CP, is an experienced professional in people operations and higher education administration. Currently serving as Director of People Operations at METER Group since March 2018, Joal collaborates with various business units to develop strategies that promote organizational and individual success. Prior to this role, Joal was Assistant Dean at Spokane Falls Community College, where responsibilities included overseeing instruction and student services, strategic planning, and managing operational relocations. Joal's teaching experience spans roles as an English and Humanities instructor at Community Colleges of Spokane and an Adjunct Professor at Washington State University. Joal also held the position of Department Chair for Interdisciplinary Studies at Spokane Falls Community College-Pullman Campus. With a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Fort Lewis College, Joal’s diverse background combines academic leadership with innovative teaching and community engagement.
