Shane Evans

Shane Evans is an experienced research scientist currently employed at METER Group since November 2021, focusing on sensor troubleshooting, product development, and conducting field and laboratory experiments. Previously, Shane held roles as a Sales Engineer/Research Consultant at METER Group, supporting data collection for soil-plant-atmospheric research, and served as a Lawn Water Conservation Educator at the University of Minnesota, contributing to various turfgrass projects. Shane's academic background includes a Master of Science in Plant Science from Utah State University, where research concentrated on irrigation controllers and water conservation, and a research assistantship at Brigham Young University, exploring topics such as turfgrass health and soil quality. Shane also gained early experience as a Horticulture Research Intern at METER Group, focusing on water conservation products for greenhouses.
