Iryna Chekhova has a diverse work experience in the field of events management and hospitality. Iryna'smost recent role is as the Head of Events at Metis, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Event Manager at Metis from September 2021 to August 2022.
Before joining Metis, Iryna worked as an Event Coordinator at Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel from January 2020 to August 2021. Iryna also gained experience as a Special Events Intern at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation from April 2019 to August 2019.

Prior to that, they were an Event Manager at BTL - Business Travel Leisure from April 2013 to April 2014, and at NRB Conferences & Events from November 2011 to March 2013.
Iryna's earliest experience in the field was as an Event Manager at Initia Events from May 2008 to November 2011.
In 2023, Iryna will be taking on a new role as the DC of Marketing & Communications at MetisDAO Foundation.
Iryna Chekhova completed their education at George Brown College from 2018 to 2019, obtaining a Post-Graduate degree in Sports and Event Marketing. Prior to that, they attended Kiev National Linguistic University from 2005 to 2010, earning a Master's degree in Business/Commerce, General. In addition to their formal education, they have acquired several certifications. These include "Become a Project Manager" and "Project Management Foundations" from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2021. Iryna also obtained the "Fundraising Essentials" certification from NonprofitReady in June 2020 and the "Hospitality Professional Certificate" from the American Hospitality Academy in November 2017.

Metis
